Innovative...obscure...revolutionary...these words are often used to describe solo acts or musicians that try to forge a new path in creativity. Groups come along that make an effort to stand outside the box and transcend beyond the norm. Sometimes, they are destined to fail from the start, because they try and add borrowed ideals and secondhand expression to an art form that has long surpassed complacency. You can’t borrow soul, and you can’t steal creativity. Every once in awhile, something erupts from the stagnant scene that breathes new life into the industry.
In the last twenty years, different concepts have come out fighting and disappeared as quickly as they made their presence known. Some musicians have managed to bring forth a new idea and their style has immersed as a new form of music. Hip-hop, trance, acid jazz...these are just a few examples of the genres we have seen come to light in recent times. The industry is long overdue for a change...enter mr. special. Mixing elements of everything from classical and jazz to hip-hop and dub, mr. special is a pioneer fresh in the making.
We are standing at the crossroads of a new dimension in music, and the vision of spontaneous self-expression comes forth to be its ambassador. The computer sets the background and introduces an idea. The trumpet births creative spirit to bring the foreground into play and dance through the holes, bringing just the right element to construct the playground. The music is a concept of inspiration that draws on and speaks to many emotions. Open up your soul to the ear candy of mr. special when you need to grieve, when you need to relax, when you need to meditate, or when you simply need to tap your own creative vein within...
