Omar Cabaleiro was introduced to underground House and Techno in 1990
as a freshman in high school. He began collecting records almost
obsessively in 1991 and then began to practice DJ-ing in the summer of
1993 prior to starting his senior year.



His first true nightlife gig was in the summer of 1996- he continued to
focus on various forms and offshoots of both House and Techno through
to the close of his DJ career in mid 2002- all focused within New
Jersey, Manhattan, and Pennsylvania.



He “messed around” with putting together breakbeat loops starting in
1996, but didn’t really begin to produce all out tracks until January
2000- his artistic/ creative/ musical/ stylistic focus being summed up
as electronica/ experimental/ house/ minimalist/ techno.



To date Omar Cabaleiro’s only release has been on the Dobox Recordings
released compilation, Resurgence, which came out on 2007.Dec.4. He
continues to produce music on a sporadic basis, nowadays primarily
focusing on deep, dark, pounding Techno tracks. This being in line w/
his greatest inspiration as a DJ/ producer: the “dark, thunderous
afterhours” nightlife vibe. “Sexy drug beats” is another phrase that
usually bounces around in his mind when putting together new tracks.
